SQL Server Standard Edition or higher is recommended.
Yes. For high availability, we recommend deploying two synchronized instances of the portal (each with a web and database server) with DNS-based failover for seamless continuity.

Yes. In order to minimise any downtime on the public portal it is recommended to run two web portals (each consisting on a web server and database server). These will be kept in sync and can be selected by DNS. This allows for an almost instant failover and a smooth continuation of service.

Data is handled with full end-to-end security:

  • Uploads occur over secure channels (HTTPS/SFTP)
  • Data is encrypted at rest within the SQL database
  • Outbound transmissions are digitally signed and encrypted via SFTP
  • Public certificates are used to verify incoming transmissions
